Hiring – Site Superintendent – Civil & Road Maintenance

Required Immediately! Seven Lakes Oilfield Services is currently recruiting for an Experienced Site Superintendent for Civil & Road Maintenance to join our growing team. We are currently accepting applications for one (1) full time Site Superintendent to support our client. This position is local to the Lakeland Region, camp is not provided.

Duties and Responsibilities, but not limited to:
Attend morning toolbox meetings;
o Verify Client safety brief is being communicated to crew
o Relate to lesson learned, LSA, risk tolerance, stop and think, etc.
o Verify scope with crew. Address logistic concerns.
o Discuss equipment status with operators. i.e.-repairs/concerns
Submit daily attendance and other projects that you have oversight;
Submit overtime approval to client via email. Forward to payroll once received;
Submit daily scope to client. Add progress from prior day activities;
Verify correct work orders on employee time sheets. Verify regular time v. overtime;
Create time summary. Scan employee’s tickets. Submit both to payroll/Admin.CC field supervisor;
Review, Scan and send billable material scale tickets from truck driver to Admin;
Update material tracker in spreadsheet;
Upload to Client Sharepoint monthly;
Review and document repairs needed for fleet vehicles and heavy equipment;
Create work order and send to respective manager ex. Fleet Manager & Heavy Equipment Specialist;
Update JSA in ePTW kiosk if required. Verify suspension and activation times;
Create new JSAR if required;
Issue/Update purchase orders with supporting vendor invoices depending if single purchase or open purchase. Scan/Send to accounts payable.CC Operations Manager;
Coordinate IOL equipment repairs with client and Company field technician;
Verify, print and package all invoices requiring Client approval;
Check work order summary to manage annual budgets; report back to client
Create estimate for budget increase depending on remaining scope;
Field loss prevention observation (4/month);
Scope civil projects with client;
Create and send notice of change, new hire, termination;
Create disciplinary action, performance planning documents to employees when required;
Follow matrix for minor infractions;
Consult site manager for major infractions or clarification;
Investigate incidents;
Consult with heavy equipment manager if modifications/upgrades to equipment required;
Review sign and submit third party risk mitigations to client pertaining to your scope of work;
Manage third party contractors to Company standards. Verify conditions met;
Review and approve monthly performance incentives;
Review and approve payroll summaries;
Nominate and submit NGH leader to client;
Quality control of service and final product with civil work;
Establish grading profile for civil projects;
Review etracker of NGH cards pertaining to RM. Create follow up comments and close out;
Schedule IOL orientation with security;
Support interview process with HR manager;
Review and verify mentorship package of new hires;
Create and issue competencies for operators;
Review incident log and support safety officer to close out;
Performance review team;
Create and compile using power point to capture key performance indicators i.e.-$/m3, $/km, tonnage in;
Attend and discuss division performance, opportunities, improvements;
Perform duties as they may arise that would fulfill the mandate of providing complete facilities operations and maintenance; (Ex. Participate interviewing potential candidates)

Qualifications:
Minimum High School Diploma or equivalency.
Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a Supervision role for civil & road maintenance;
In depth knowledge and experience with heavy equipment, operating and mechanically inclined;
Valid Class 5 Driver’s License;
Must be able to have the willingness to travel including temporary assignment to projects;
Highly developed organizational and communication skills;
Possess computer, verbal, written and strong interpersonal skills;
Excellent Problem-Solving Skills and ability to work in independently or team setting;
Highly developed interpersonal skills and ability to work harmoniously with a diverse workforce
Ability to balance and prioritize multiple tasks and sensitive to issues of confidentiality and compliance;
Proficiency in monitoring contractors’ performance in the areas safety, quality, environmental conformance, and schedule;
Proven ability to react appropriately in emergency situations;
Ability to complete all work in compliance with Alberta legislation, regulations and site policies and procedures;
Proven ability to work in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety guidelines;
Must be physically fit, position involves walking, climbing and awkward positions as well as carrying of heavy materials;
Ensure Personal Protect Equipment (PPE) is used as required;

Pre-Employment Requirements:
Comprehensive Drug, Alcohol, Audio-metric, and Physical Abilities pre-employment tests;
Valid CSTS-09, H2S Alive, Standard First Aid, Ground Disturbance certificates;
Must have an ACSA Leadership for Safety Excellence, Competency Assurance Techniques, Supervisor Responsibilities and Employees Responsibilities for Alcohol and drug will be necessary in this role;
Class 5 License with an approved driver’s abstract (obtained within 30 days);
Eligibility to work on Imperial Oil, Cold Lake Operations site;
Willingness to remain clean shaven;
